Exploring the Wild Soul
The Druid Camp 2024 will take place from Thursday, August 15th to Sunday, August 18th, 2024 in Waldhambach, near Neustadt an der Weinstraße. The initiations into the druid grades can already take place on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024.
We look forward to Eimear Burke, Adrian Rooke and JJ Middleway and other well-known figures from the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids.
The druid camp is hard to believe a camp. The main overnight accommodation options are in tents. There are also a few sleeping places in the hut and hotels are near by. Delicious food is provided; Michael takes care of that.

The participation fees are expected to be
Thursday to Sunday: 220 Euro (WdL members 210 Euro)
Friday to Sunday: 205 Euro (WdL members 195 Euro)
Children and young adults from 3 - 17 years, Thursday to Sunday: 39 Euro.
Children and young adults from 3 - 17 years, Friday to Sunday: 29 Euro.
Children below 3 years: 0 Euro
Arrival on Wednesday with dinner: 10 Euro

Druids' Coffee House Talks
In the 17th century, philosophers met in coffee houses and exchanged ideas. We are taking up this tradition again and would like to offer exciting lectures by personalities from Druidry followed by a panel discussion.
Eisteddfod - Tim Waddington
Of course, an Eisteddfod should not be missing at a druid camp and is the highlight of the weekend. All bards are invited to perform their arts, no matter how experienced you are. Tim Waddington takes over the organization of the Eisteddfod.
The "Warrior of Hirschlanden" as an ecstatic trance posture - Ulf Leonard
Embedded in a simple ritual, I will invite you into an altered state of waking consciousness. You stand in the posture of the "Warrior of Hirschlanden" and I drum a fast rhythm for 15 minutes.We will travel into spaces of benevolence, inspiration and healing. Visionary experiences, unexpected inspirations, changed body perceptions and deep relaxation are possible. You retain full control over what is happening for the entire duration. This powerful spiritual tool was developed in 1977 by anthropologist Dr. Felicitas Goodman discovered and intensively researched.I am a druid in OBOD, a physiotherapist and seminar leader and trainer for "Ritual postures and ecstatic trance according to Dr. Felicitas Goodman®”. Over the past 10 years I have accompanied many people and I am amazed by the simplicity, depth and power of this possibility.
Felting drumsticks - Maresa Gieles
Every heart beats to its own rhythm! Your drum is as individual as you are, and so is your drumstick! You have the opportunity to felt your own individual drumstick, depending on your intention or theme. To find out what should go into the work, we start with a guided journey. Dive with us into the world of flowing colours, the connection of water and earth (wool and wood).
You don't need any felting experience, please bring (d)a sturdy stick, the rest of the material will be provided.
Team-Work-Shop Incense Blending - Maresa Gieles
Together we will go on a meditative walk, get in touch with the plants of the area, and collect herbs for a wonderful Lughnasadh incense blend. We will identify the herbs, feel their properties together, dry them and mix them in the second part. All participants will receive a part of the mixture to take home. No previous experience necessary, material will be provided
Excursion to Hambach Castle - Rudolf Kasper
It doesn't always have to be menhirs. This year's summer camp offers a wonderful opportunity to visit a place that is essential to our freedom to live here with us today. Almost 200 years ago, people from all over Europe met at Hambach Castle to express their demands for national unity, freedom and popular sovereignty. During our excursion to Hambach Castle we learn everything about the historical connections. We will then focus the energies of this place in a small ritual and send out a call for healing and peace, in the tradition of our ancestors, into the world.
